The strawberry season is officially open! Oh I have been missing them!
So many recipes I want to try out. I don’t even know where to start. Well, actually, I did start with these pastries. It reminds me of spring. At least the pastries do.. I guess that’s what I really needed after freezing for the past several weeks. When it happens to snow end of April, there is only so much you can do to ignore it and pretend that the winter season is really over. Roasting this wonderful fruit with thyme, and blending it with a cream made of mascarpone and homemade ricotta cheese flavored with ground vanilla beans… is all I needed this weekend to bring the new season home.
