Yesterday I was walking through the downtown area and I noticed that they were already setting up the Christmas market. By the time I got home I was in a chocolate mood! I checked in the kitchen cabinet, if I still had some couverture chocolate left. Oh what a joy to see that I had proudly stocked up on that a while ago.. You know, for those emergency baking sessions ;)<\/span><\/p>\n

And yesterday it felt like one of those days where some good chocolate is the only thing that works to brighten up your day on a cloudy, dark November afternoon. Let me tell you: it worked!<\/span><\/p>\n

I used fresh pistachio and pomegranate seeds to be combined with white and milk chocolate. You can use your imagination and experiment with so many other ingredients and flavors of your choice! \u00a0Nuts, dried fruits, and so much more. It’s even fun to make these yummy treats!<\/span><\/p>\n

Whether they come as little bites or barks, they are a beautiful gift idea! Who wouldn’t want to receive a box filled with homemade sweets?<\/span><\/p>\n

Ingredients:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0300 g \/ 10\u00bd oz of couverture chocolate, chopped (white, milk or dark)<\/span><\/p>\n

1 tsp of butter<\/span><\/p>\n

pomegranate seeds\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

fresh pistachios\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Pour the chopped chocolate and the butter into a heat-proof bowl. Place the bowl into a halfway filled pot with simmering water (bain-marie method). Make sure that the water temperature doesn’t get too high. Stir from time to time until the chocolate has melted.<\/span><\/p>\n

Set the bowl aside and mix it with the pomegranate seeds, pistachios or whatever you prefer.<\/span><\/p>\n

Take small portions with a teaspoon for little chocolate bites, and place on a tray (previously covered with baking paper). For chocolate barks you can use the appropriate molds, if available. Otherwise you can simply spread it on a baking sheet. Baking pans work fine, too.<\/span><\/p>\n

You can sprinkle the remaining seeds, or nuts on top.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Cover it carefully with aluminum foil. Make sure that it doesn’t touch the chocolate! Refrigerate at least 2h until firm.<\/span><\/p>\n
