After taking you on a virtual trip to Southern Italy last week, this week we go to France!

I simply love recipes that have the looks and taste! And this here is one of those. Doesn’t the thyme hidden between the phyllo pastry’s sheets look lovely?

After sharing with you a personalized version of Rachel Khoo‘s cake recipe (find recipe here) – which was one of my first posts – now I want to share this one with you that I saw on her weekly show.

These goat cheese cigars are easy to make and consist of very few ingredients only (see step-by-step pictures below). I made this recipe for my family, and they made me bake them twice within two days. They loved them! Now imagine the goat cheese with a sprinkle of honey.. And if you can find lavender honey, trust me, your taste buds are going to celebrate a party! A French party. :) And on top they are a true eye-catcher!

Rachel Khoo suggests serving them with a salad. I served them by itself as a snack and together with other tapas. Oh btw, once I replaced the plain goat cheese with a fig flavored cheese. It was still very mild, not overwhelming at all. That’s just an alternative idea, if you want to try.

Allez, on y va!

[yumprint-recipe id=’20’]

After taking you on a virtual trip to Southern Italy last week, this week we go to France!
