Easter is synonymous with spring, colors, decorating eggs, baking breaded yeast buns and much more! As a child I always used to decorate Easter eggs. It was so much fun! Then after a very long – lazy – break, only last year I got inspired again to decorate them a different way. I’ll do my best to keep up with this tradition. It’s so worth it! Don’t the egg shells just look so cute as flower pots? This year it was time to try out something different. I thought why not apply the decoupage on the egg shells for a change?
Making these chocolate lace lollipops was lots of fun too! You can shape them the way you want, and you can sprinkle on top whatever you like! The list is endless: All kind of nuts – even caramelized if you prefer – or dried fruits, edible dried blossoms. The list is endless. Aren’t they a cute gift or give-away idea? All you need to do is adjust them to the ‘event’.
Give them an oval shape to make them look like an Easter egg. Turn them into colorful lollipops for a kid’s birthday party. Or what about using dried rose bulbs for favors? Whatever the occasion is, people will love them!
I’d love to hear about your outcome and what occasion you used these sweet treats for!
Enjoy!
