It has already been one year of blogging! And I am enjoying every bit of it!
This food blog has come along with many satisfactions over the past twelve months. It has motivated me to cook even more than before and it had quite an impact on my creativity in the kitchen! Furthermore blogging has been a great opportunity to get more familiar with my camera. I have learned so much, and there is still so much more to learn..
I still remember the day I received the first comment, as well as the day I submitted my first pictures to foodgawker and tastespotting. And I remember even more the astonishment when the first photos got accepted! It felt so great!! All of a sudden the views on my posts went up. It was official: I was part of the food bloggers out there! :)
Yes, to be honest, the beginning was a little intimidating. Knowing that as soon as I had published something, with one click only, anyone out there, no matter where on the globe, could access it. After getting used to it, it felt more and more comfortable and even more gratifying to know that I could finally reach readers from every possible country and cultural background.
We can’t choose everything in life, right? That’s why I think that we should take the initiative when it comes to those things that we can change or do. Until a few months ago I was stuck in a job that didn’t make me happy at all. I couldn’t wait to get out of it. Cooking, taking pictures and blogging on the weekends was something I was looking forward to. It was a distraction from the not so gratifying week. It was a way of being creative and getting my mind out of any source of stress. It sounds almost therapeutical, doesn’t it? ;)
But above all, this blog wouldn’t mean much without all of you who stop by, and those of you who enjoy the Mediterranean recipes, photos and stories as much as I do! A BIG thank you to all of you!!!
So, I put together an overview of some of the most viewed posts and a selection of my personal favorites :)
